

SUSTAINABILITY GOVERNANCE
We aimed to integrate our sustainability approach into our entire business model with sound decision mechanisms, and to support it with sustainable practices that we believe provide environmental and social benefits to people and our planet, in line with our holistic approach principle.
We are committed to supporting this form of governance with all kinds of authorities that enable us to adopt a transparent Sustainable Governance style by ensuring that we can communicate it in the most accurate way to the public, our customers, partners and stakeholders.
Sustainability Governance can be categorized under 4 main headings:

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
In all of our production facilities, processes, activities, services and technologies we have developed, we act in accordance with the principle of responsible production and service within the framework of our “Planearth” sustainability strategy, which is compatible with global goals.
As of Jul 2022, we are working for Clean Energy (SDG 7) and Responsible Production and Consumption (SDG 12) among the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals within the scope of our membership in the UN Global Compact (UNGC) Turkey.



SOCIAL MANAGEMENT
While carrying out our activities, we try to manage the social dimensions of our activities in the best way as well as we take care of the environmental management.
We also care about our employees, the stakeholders and partners we work with, the development of the people in the locations where we do business and making them involved in our sustainability approach.
In line with our ‘Diversity, Equality and Inclusion’ principle and by carrying out projects in various countries, especially in disadvantaged geographies, we employ individuals regardless of age, race and ethnicity, ability and disability, gender, religion, culture and sexual orientation in order to support gender equality, and to provide fair treatment to everyone. We promote fair opportunities in the workforce.
We believe in ‘more women workforce’ and are developing social responsibility and cooperation projects to make this visible.
As of 2022, we are working and cooperating for Gender Equality (SDG 5) and Partnership for Goals (SDG 17) among the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals within the scope of Turkey’s membership in the UN Global Compact (UNGC).

SUSTAINABLE FINANCE
As Pomega, in line with our sustainability approach, we invest in energy, technology and innovation, while at the same time investing for the health and future of our planet.
Because we are aware that we can only exist sustainably and continue to operate as long as we create a healthy society and ecosystem.
While improving our sustainability approach every day, we take into account financial and regulatory risks as well as environmental, social and governance-related risks and developments in all our business decisions and actions.

Our evaluation of the Istanbul Stock Exchange BIST Sustainability Index is ongoing by an accredited institution.
- CORPORATE GOVERNANCE INDEX
We are in application phase to receive Corporate Governance Index of the Istanbul Stock Exchange.

OUR STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT APPROACH
We adopt a transparent, open communication and trust-based way of working in our ecosystem, where our internal and external stakeholders, with whom we interact directly and indirectly, are directed by our sustainable communication and governance approach.
We define all our stakeholders as collaborators who are influenced by our activities, who live and maintain our brand and sustainability values with us, and who can create a common impact to strengthen our company.
It is of great importance for us to act in a solution-oriented, peaceful and treat-equally manner in our relations with all our stakeholders. For this reason, we respect and care about the opinions and expectations of all our stakeholders.
We take into account the conditions and needs of disadvantaged regions and communities, especially in locations where we carry out business activities, and we give priority to this while communicating with our stakeholders.
We maintain our constant and effective communication with our stakeholders through one-to-one visits, audio and video calls, periodic employee satisfaction surveys, customer satisfaction surveys, reputation surveys, stakeholder participation and briefings.
While we make all our stakeholders adopt our sustainability value and approach for sustainable growth, we are also fed by our stakeholders’ best sustainability practices and constantly improve our own approach, thanks to our effective and feedback-open communication style.
