Technical Regulations on Energy Storage Facilities Announced
TEİAŞ (Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation) announced new regulations titled “Procedures and Principles Regarding the Monitoring and Control of Energy Storage Facilities” on December 31, 2024. These regulations detail the integration of energy storage facilities with the energy grid and their monitoring through SCADA systems.
According to the announcement, the regulations aim to standardize critical processes such as grid connection, data recording, SCADA system integration, and performance management for Energy Storage Facilities (ESF) and Energy Storage Units (ESU). These technical criteria are designed to enhance the efficiency and reliability of energy storage solutions.
